Pine Tree
About This Spot
Stepping into Pine Tree, tucked just off the bustling stretch of National Boulevard, you’re welcomed by a calm, unpretentious spot that feels like a well-kept neighborhood secret. The atmosphere hums quietly with the warmth of familiar faces and friendly exchanges, where the pace invites you to settle in, slow down, and savor the moment.
This Korean restaurant captures the essence of shared meals and simple pleasures. Here, the table becomes a cozy canvas for discovery—smoky Korean BBQ sizzles invitingly, while fragrant steam egg and softly spiced soon tofu soups offer comforting contrasts. The experience is deeply communal, centered around grilling fresh, quality cuts over flames, all complemented by an array of thoughtfully prepared side dishes that add textural harmony and bursts of flavor.
Behind the approachable vibe is a family spirit that resonates throughout the dining room. The attentive hosts move between tables with genuine care, their presence part of what makes Pine Tree feel like more than just a meal — it’s a moment to connect, learn, and enjoy. Whether you're gathering with family or exploring Korean cuisine for the first time, the mood here encourages sharing stories as much as sharing bites.
For those familiar with classic Korean BBQ, Pine Tree serves as a comforting continuation, while newcomers can ease into the rich tapestry of tastes—savory, subtly sweet, and delightfully textured. It’s a spot where the ritual of cooking at your table becomes a bridge toward something quietly celebratory: the joy found in good food and good company, woven together in a space that values authenticity over flash.

Wonderful atmosphere for Mothers and Daughters to eat and learn about new favorite dishes. Thank you for taking care of us so well.

For anyone looking for Galbi King, this is the same restaurant, they just changed the name. This is my favorite KBBQ place! I usually get the AYCE Set A. So worth the price and more affordable than other KBBQ restaurants. The meat is always good quality and fresh and I love pairing it with the banchan (side dishes). The owner is super friendly and always checks in to make sure we have everything we need. 100% recommend!!

Lovely AYCE korean bbq. A lot better than the old Galbi King. Good banchan, sweet staff. Best west side AYCE kbbq.

This is a nice table cookery Korean restaurant. I had a delicious spicy (mildly so) pork entree called Dae Ji Bul Kuki with 6+ banchan (side dishes), soup, salad and a rice bowl. There was a lot of food on the table.

Food was great. The son and mother were very nice and hard working. Just a great hole in the wall in general.

The Pine Tree business was in south bay before. They moved and we were so sad we couldn't find them anymore. Finally, we stumbled upon them! Great food again! My uncle cried Expect service to be somewhat slow compared to modern KBBQ restaurants. Small team that ensures quality for their guests. Restaurant is great for lunch. Sometimes crowded for dinner. No room to seat more than 4-6 people at one table.
